Quilling Letter L Design

A new Quilling Letter L Design

Hello!

Have you ever heard this term “quillography“?

For a long time, I have done just basic quilling designs and shapes.
Maybe I supposed I would not have success with trying more complex designs.
So, for example, I kept a distance between me and quillography.
When I say quillograhpy, I think of quilling letters and different texts.
I first observed this term on Manu’s quilling website, that you can find here.

My first try of quillography had a beautiful result. It gave me confidence that I will have better results with more practice.

A little nervous for the first time, but now I am so happy I started quillography.

In fact, it does open more the quilling horizon for you. It gives you a lot of other possibilities for using quilling.

Well, I did more quillography and you can see my work here.

In this post, you can see a quilling letter L design (see another design I’ve made for letter L here).

I made this quilling letter L design for a friend’s birthday and I offered it as a gift to her. She liked it! 🙂

If you need more details on how to start quilling a letter, please consider this video I made not long ago.

The video tutorial shows the steps I did to start my quilling letter project.

First, you need to decide the design of the letter; what font and size you want it to be.

This quilling letter L design I did for a friend called Laura. The font I used here is more like a handwritten font; I liked that!

But there are so many fonts out there and you can choose your favorite!

The main points in quillography are the letter and the filling of the letter/the space around it.

You can actually fill the letter with quilling shapes or let in empty but fill the space around it.

Personally, I have just made designs with letters filled. I would like to try the second option and leave the letter empty but fill the space around it.

Anyways, the letters must be the center of attention.

You can offer a quillography design as a birthday gift.

I like the idea that you can make a unique gift for your loved ones.

You can personalize the gift and the receiver will feel special.

She/He will have something handmade, valuable and personalized.
